About 'EUMIND Go Green' project
Through this project we intend to learn about practices that can lead to more environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible decisions and lifestyles, which can help protect the environment and sustain its natural resources for current and future generations.
The Go Green Initiative is all about helping the school create a campus-wide culture of conservation. We believe in a teamwork approach that includes students, teachers, parents, custodians and administrators. |
The project teams will develop tailor-made “Go Green” plans that can help them set goals to conserve resources, and the tools to measure their success. Our aim is to make a profound impact on communities – both by saving precious resources today, and by spreading awareness about how to be environmental stewards for a lifetime. To take a holistic approach towards this goal we have included eight sub topics in the project focusing on various aspects and approaches to achieve sustainability.
The project's driving question, which focuses our work, is ‘How can we help protect the environment and sustain its natural resources?’ Our teams will be involved in researching on the Internet, interviewing community members, preparing a presentation, creating videos, using technology, etc.. We are working with Hervomd Lyceum School (our partner school in Amsterdam) to compare our findings to draw out the similarities and differences in our research methods and project outcomes. The project would involve virtual field trips to ecological companies, meet with policy maker to conduct interviews/surveys, etc..
